Ride N Safe Medical Transport, LLC

Growing Quickly to Meet the Needs of North Central Texas

Surgery Center Transportation

Ride N Safe Medical Transport, L.L.C., or Ride N Safe, was founded in 2007 by Wes Mourer and Cliff Montemayor in Granbury, Texas. As working paramedics of Granbury/Hood County EMS, they encountered the transportation challenges of residents navigating "to and from" healthcare services locally and in the Fort Worth area. Since the beginning, Ride N Safe has transported people of all ages who are bed-ridden, confined to a wheelchair, recovering from major surgery and/or life-altering injuries, and chronic illnesses – whenever and wherever they might need to go. Due to growing demand, Ride N Safe quickly expanded from a local operation in Granbury and Hood County on an “as-needed" basis, to providing non-emergency medical transportation 365 days a year in Ft. Worth’s medical district, Hood, Parker, and Somervell counties.

2010 - A second station opened in Cleburne, Texas.

2014 - Merger with Fort Worth’s A.C.E. Non-Emergency Transport added a third station in North Richland Hills, Texas. The acquisition of A.C.E. expanded Ride N Safe’s service area to include all of Tarrant County as well as Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker & Somervell.

2016 - Ride N Safe incorporated to a single, larger station in Fort Worth and began growing its 12-van fleet to meet increasing demand. At the same time, fleet maintenance was brought in-house for preventive service and repairs.

2020 - Ride N Safe opens its second & third branches in Waco and Denton, Texas, respectively.

By the end of 2020, Ride N Safe had 29 vans in its fleet. Ride N Safe also proudly, and according to CDC guidelines, completed over 1,000 COVID-related transports, consisting of positive patients and Persons Under Investigation (PUI). Drivers were already versed in infection control protocols but received additional training, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), sanitizing supplies, and were screened daily for COVID-19 symptoms.

  • Fort Worth Area Counties (Ellis, Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, and Tarrant)

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

Ride N Safe Medical Transport

Ride N Safe Medical Transport provides Non-Emergency Medical Transportation for a service area that covers over 18,154+ square miles - covering Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise Counties in North Texas and counties surrounding Waco, including  Bell, Bosque, Brown, Comanche, Coryell, Falls, Hamilton, Hill, Limestone, and McLennan in Central Texas.

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) exists to ensure that everyone facing transportation challenges can still access preventative and specialty medical care.  As a result, engaging Ride N Safe may improve overall health outcomes, avoid costly ambulance bills, and decrease emergency room visits. The benefits of NEMT services are especially significant for those struggling who are confined to a wheelchair, who have chronic conditions (diabetes, heart disease, cancer, COPD) and for those recovering from injuries or a major health crisis (car accidents, stroke, amputation, joint replacement surgery).
